Robyn Collier is a professional artist with over 40 years of painting experience. She has conducted workshops within Australia and New Zealand for over 18 years. Now she only takes turps free workshops or painting holidays - painting in oils in the Alla-Prima method (direct painting, wet-in-wet). She has published many articles, held over 30 exhibitions and made numerous television appearances. Her work has won multi-awards and is in prestigious collections in most countries of the world. Robyn has also taken part in many ‘Artist in Residence programs both on the mainland and on many of Australia’s remote islands and is considered a contemporary realist, painting our wilderness in its many varied aspects. She is a keen bushwalker and walks many kilometres to find the subjects of her choice – preferably in remote areas. She is now conducting Plein Air Painting Holidays for Travelrite International. Robyn is a member of the Blue Mountains Conservation Society and is passionate about our natural environment.
PAINTING THE CLIFFS OF THE BLUE MOUNTAINS
In this class we will be painting a Blue Mountains scenery and the effect of light on atmospheric perspective.
We will cover colour mixing, basic composition, my technique, tone, and above all have a good time.
Photo handouts (image above) will be given by the artist on the day.
List of materials will be sent after booking is confirmed. If you own an easel (table or standup) please bring it with you, if not please let me know.
Food is NOT included in the price.
VENUE
The venue is George Bell Pavilion at Castle Hill Showgrounds, Castle Hill. A map will be provided after booking. The venue is only 5 minute walk from Showground Metro Station (Chatswood - Tallawong line) (https://www.metrolinemap.com/station/sydney/hills-showground/)
REFUNDS
Cancellation more than 60 days prior 75% refund
30 - 60 days prior 50% refund
If you cancel up to a week before, and your space will be given to someone else, a 50% refund will be given.
Last-minute cancellation is not refunded, however, ticket is transferable so you can give it to someone else.
